Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book private lessons?

Absolutely, just reach out to our studio and we would be happy to get you a slot that works for both parties. We encourage one on one lessons.

Is it a guarantee if I enroll my child into the competitive program that they will compete their first year?

It is not a guarantee as we want to set your child up for success, if they are new to the arts they may need additional training to help get them to a competitive level. Our program ensures that your child will be set for success in order to gain the skills necessary for the future.

I am interested in writing/producing and recording a song?

That is great if you sign up for our one on one sessions this will fast track your progress to start your musical journey

Do we have to sign up and commit for the entire season?

We prefer it, however it is not mandatory. You may sign up on a monthly basis for the recreational programs but not for the competitive programs. We recommend a month trial in the fall before we begin recreational recital choreo in February.

Are parents allowed to stay and watch the entire class?

For preschool ages absolutely, but we do not allow parents in the classes for older ages. We will host two parent viewing days throughout the year where parents can come and view the classes.

How is your competition program setup?

At our dance studio, our competitive program is uniquely designed to set students up for future success. Unlike other studios, we offer a diverse array of opportunities, including regular dance and vocal competitions, production creation, freestyle events, music video creation, and film opportunities. This holistic approach ensures our students are well-rounded and prepared for various professional paths in the arts.

How big are your classes?

Class sizes vary depending on the program and age range of the class.

Can I register my child midway through the year?

Absolutely you can register, although we do recommend signing up when classes begin in the fall. We do not accept registrations past January 31st as we begin our recital choreography in February. Please stay on the lookout for our 6 week sessionals being offered if you cannot commit to the annual calendar year.

What if my child is injured and can't perform/compete or attend classes?

I am not sure what class to register my child for?

Artist Avenue has a class for everyone, we do not discriminate. If you are unsure what class would suit you or your child, please reach out. We would be happy to discuss further.

What are your hours of Operation?

Our hours vary throughout the year but we guarantee a response within 48 hours from your original contact via email or phone.

Why are vocal, rap, and DJ lessons more expensive than dance classes?

Vocal, rap, and DJ lessons are more expensive because they often require smaller class sizes to provide personalized instruction, which limits the number of students per session. Additionally, these lessons typically need specialized equipment and spaces, increasing costs. The expertise of instructors in these fields, who command higher salaries, also contributes to the higher fees. Finally, the demand for these lessons coupled with a limited number of qualified instructors can drive prices up.

Can we pay online or in-person?

Yes, you have the option to pay online or in-person. We also have a handheld terminal for payments at the studio if you prefer.

Did you know that at Artist Avenue, we have an in-house massage therapist available on Thursdays?

Health and wellness are our NUMBER ONE priority, and we take our training very seriously.

That’s why we have brought on an in-house specialist to work with your child, depending on their needs.

Parent Committee

We realize that entertainment and travel opportunities come with a significant cost which can deter families from pursuing our competitive programs.

Artist Avenue is looking to start a parent committee. This committee will be responsible for raising funds to help cover costs associated with travel.
